Turkish Kilim Rug, 1950s

Old Middle Eastern Gulf rug, from Türkiye, with its XL format.
This kilim has its authenticity label on the back and its brass ring with numbering.
It comes from Gardes, Turkey, 100% wool and handmade. The knotting is very fine. The geometric patterns are recognizable and typical. Here they are numerous and the designs are as abstract as they are floral and animalistic. The tones of the rug are in blues and oranges. It may be noted that there is discoloration on one side of the carpet, due to exposure to the sun. Some stains still present.
