Scottie dog perfume lamp in the form of a terrier puppy and mother/father attributed to Carl Scheidig Grafenthal, Germany. Made from glazed porcelain. Restored electrical parts with inner light bulb (standard E 14) to give a warm and comforting night light. The light also shines through the glass eyes. The ‘Scottie dog’ (Highland terrier) was a much loved motif of the Art Deco period, and these friendly dog figurines are perfect for a child’s bedroom. A drop of perfume or essential oil onto the plate on the rear will warm against the bulb and aided by the rising air-currents from the lamp, and perforated sides, will slowly perfume the room. Excellent condition, the lamp is in full working order. And safe for immediate usage in the World. Germany, 1930s, excellent condition This lamp is in very good, clean and undamaged condition. Has large brown glass eyes.
