A fine example of a Nuu-chah-nulth northwest coast hand carved wood TOTEM pole by master carver Ray Williams, circa 1960s. Williams was the son of famed carver, Sam Williams, who started carving for the “Ye Olde Curiosity Shop” in Seattle, WA in the early 1900s. This pole is unique as it is unpainted; it has all the bold, striking and complex features and figures that are known in Ray’s work. The TOTEM stands and 12.5″ H with a 11″ wingspan and is in excellent condition for its age. A great museum quality example of an early famous carver. #2294.
