A fine example of a Nuu-chah-nulth northwest coast hand carved wood TOTEM pole by master carver John Williams, circa 1980s. Williams was the son of famed carver, Ray Williams, and Grandson to Sam Williams who started carving for the “Ye Olde Curiosity Shop” in Seattle, WA in the early 1900s. This pole is unique as it is unpainted; it has all the bold, striking and complex features and figures that are known in John’s work. The TOTEM stands and 13.5″ H with a 10.5″ wingspan and is in excellent condition for its age. A great museum quality example of an early famous carver. #3561
