Vintage Design
Pair of mid-century crystal glass wall sconces. This fantastic item was produced in Austria during the 1960s. This piece is incredible because the crystal glass and the way it reflects the light is just wonderful. A fantastic set that will smarten a neoclassical entrance hall or complete a mid-century living room. Kinkeldey is a German manufacturer of high-end lighting fixtures. The company attracted international attention when it won the prestigious IF Design Award in 1969 with a chandelier fitted with prism cut crystals. During the 1970s Kinkeldey produced a number of variations on this award-winning model, like the one offered here. Though these lamps show the same quality as fixtures of companies like Bakalowits, Lobmeyer and Palwa, the Kinkeldey models tend to be more modern in their design approach.
