This large and substantial zebra sculpture or planter box was made by Monica Oliver, and unknown artist, in 1990 in a modern realistic style. The sculpture appears to be composed of various materials such as paper mache, fiberglass and resin and hand-painted. The sculpture is quite detailed and presume it was made for a commercial installation or display. The sculpture weighs approximately forty pounds and is well suited for indoor use. The plant box or cavity in the middle of the sculpture measures approximately eighteen inches long, some eight inches wide and eleven inches in depth. The sculpture is signed and dated on the underside of the zebra’s hind quarter.
