Vintage Design
A special round biomorphic smoked glass pendant designed by Koch & Lowy for Peill & Putzler, manufactured in Germany circa 1970s. Sockets: 1 x E27 standard bulb. (100 W max). Drop rod can be adjusted as required for greater or lesser drop. This light won the iF Design award in 1975. Information about Peill & Putzler: Peill + Putzler: Glashüttenwerk Peill und Sohn was founded in 1903 in Düren, a small town in West Germany. Peill merged with Putzler (founded in 1869) in 1947 as a glassworks and lighting company and became – Peill & Putzler Glashüttenwerke -. The company always worked with important designers as Wilhelm Wagenfeld, William Brown, Helmut Demary, Aloys Ferdinand Gangkofner, Horst Tüselmann.
