Margit Wittig’s triptych blackened metal screen/ room divider features hand-crafted sculptural elements. These pieces can rotate allowing the collector to create varying levels of opaqueness and look of the divider spanning the gamit from full screenage to a see through decorative piece.
This screen is composed sculptural components, cast and patinated in her London studio. Each epoxy resin piece is hand-finished with several layers of pigment and wax to enhance their unique surface texture.
Each of the three panels measures: 160 cm by 50 cm.
Margit Wittig is inspired by modern artists and sculptors such as Giacometti and Ivon Hitchens. Her work is constantly evolving using different textures as the driving force, intertwined with her work with color. Her functional art spreads the gamit from modern simplicity to rich and complex designs and color. Her pieces are placed with collectors around the globe.
