Frink Polarlite signs are constructed using a heavy sheet of plate glass, wherein the lettering or design is intricately sandblasted. This innovative construction deviated significantly from conventional signage, immediately capturing attention through its bold presentation.

The illumination mechanism is discreetly concealed, with light penetrating the plate exclusively through its edges. Consequently, the plate appears inert except for the areas subjected to sandblasting, resulting in a remarkably exquisite and unique visual effect.
