Admiration Cigars Antique Chalkware Man in the Moon With Winking Eye Matchsafe Wall Plaque C 1910

CIrca 1910 unusual chalkware ‘Man In The Moon’ advertising piece for Admiration cigars. This is an adorable mascot that would have had a cigar in his mouth and would have likely hung over a display of fine cigars. It’s all about the quality of the hand painting with this piece and this one has excellent color and details. You won’t be disappointed with this nice piece of cigar advertising history! Condition:

Decent antique condition with several imperfections which are marks of its age and history. There are small chips present on the nose, right eyebrow, top of head, and mouth, along with a subtle paint repair on the nose. The mouth would have held a cigar or matches but the the spot on the side of his mouth is empty and there is a lack of paint. Additionally, a large chunk is missing from the back, and there are chips on the back rim, but the hook still feels secure. Please see all photos for specific details on the condition of the sign.
