Antique 19th Century Exceptional Burmese, Myanmar solid silver thabeik bowl, repousse’ decorated in high relief depicting different traditional scenes from the Burmese mythology, showing detailed figures set against a chiseled matted background in continuous landscape. The top chased with scrolling bands and base decorated with a thick band of betel leaves. The quality of the bowl is outstanding, heavy gauge and very crisp. Base engraved with the stylized signature of a tiger, one of the best known 20th century Burmese silversmiths, whose highly decorative designs are very distinctive and sought after.
