Grand late 19th/early 20th century apothecary cabinet chest of drawers featuring 36 storage drawers with patinated brass pulls. The monumental cabinet measures over 15 feet long and is purported to be from a haberdashery in England then used in an American millinery as a shop counter. The large case has four sections with three sections having fitted drawers. Each section is separated by reeded pilasters toped with decorative corbels. The last section has an open storage area that once housed shelves. The case is mostly crafted from mahogany hardwood with pine boards on the back. Very heavy and solid with precise fitted drawers. The cabinet has wear on the ends where it was mounted as seen in photos. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
