1950s Mauri Almari Perforated Black Metal Pendant for Idman Oy Finland. A rare example executed in black painted and perforated metal with period-style brass canopy for mounting over standard US j-box. Highly reminiscent of Paavo Tynell’s iconic designs for Taito Oy. An incredibly refined design that is quintessentially Finnish.

A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the inspired work of Mauri Almari has made him an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish designer by discerning collectors.

Each lamp accommodates 1x 60W equivalent standard medium base (e26) LED bulb (LED only). Professionally rewired for US electrical with new black cloth cord and adjustable 60″ drop. Not UL listed.
