Vintage Design
The lamp has a simple, minimalist character. The decoration and materials are the decorations. A circular lampshade with a spirally twisted surface attracts attention. The glass has a beautiful – slightly blue shade that gives the light a bluish-milky, opalescent filter. A ball in a dark brown frame made of Bakelite – the first plastic. The material, popular only for a decade, was eagerly used due to its plasticity – which offered new design possibilities. Currently, bakelite items are collectable – due to their experimental and short-lived nature. Other plastics quickly appeared to replace Bakelite.
