A pair of opaque resin candle holders, one green and the other a light yellow resin. The cylindrical shapes are asymmetrical, solid and confident but have been carved as if they were paper or metal cylinders having been lightly crushed. One candle holder has a foil label attached marked “Martha Sturdy Canada”.
Each candle holder measures approximately 2-1/2″ diameter and 5-3/8″ high. The candle base holes are approximately 11/16 inches.diameter.
Martha Sturdy (born 1942) is a Canadian artist and designer. Sturdy gained international attention for her wearable sculpture in the late 1970s, which evolved into further series of sculptural home furnishings using resin, steel, brass and salvaged cedar. Sturdy’s studio has since expanded to provide custom furniture, fixtures and artworks for fashion, retail and hospitality clients including Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman, and Louis Vuitton. – Wikipedia

Condition:GoodWear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Candle holders are in good vintage condition with a couple pinpoint nicks at the edges and bubbles in the resin that are likely from production. See photos for detail.
