A genuine late 19th century Burmese teak bench from Myanmar (Burma). A quality piece of craftmanship, with pegged joints and hand crafted throughout, an authentic piece of Myanmar furniture and a rare find in this condition.
A large 3-seater bench with great detail and a wonderful depth of colour to the wood. The narrow slatted timber seat has a slight curve for comfort, the purpose made cushion seat is a later addition and comes with the piece.
Seat Height = 46cm / 18inch
Arm Height = 73cm / 28.75inch
Length at legs = 186cm / 73.25inch

History
The Bench was purchased from an antiques market in Myanmar where the previous owner had it restored by local craftsmen. Luckily the piece was saved and shipped back to the UK when the civil unrest (Myanmar Spring Revolution) broke out in 2021.
