Vintage Design
The lamp has a beautiful brass tripod base and a soft vintage green color mushroom-shaped shade with an opening in the middle. White color on the inside. This model is, together with the Bijou model, one of the best known UFO-shaped models from Kalff. This “Minou 69” model has a straight rod-shaped centerpiece, where the Bijou model has a conical center piece. The two models are often mentioned in the one breath.
The lamp has a E27 fitting. Usually a ‘bowl light bulb’ with grey top is used. These are lamps with an opaque finish on the top of the lamp which is shaped like a bowl and is typically silver in color. By using this lamp, the light is diffused by redirecting the emitted light back into the fixture.
The lamp is in excellent condition with normal signs of wear corresponding with its age and past usage. A detailed overview of the signs of use can be found on the photos. The signs of use are some small scratches or lack of paint, which are not disturbing in the overall view. The lamp has no dents.
